Lynne Emmerson - Life Coach

Qualified and Experienced Therapeutic and Spiritual Practitioner and Trainer

I have worked creatively with young people, children and families for all of my working life as a social worker, youth worker and teacher. I have three grown up children and four adorable and intelligent grandchildren who bring joy into my life.

Over the years I have collected and used numerous qualifications - academic, vocational and therapeutic. Just lately I have been feeling that there is more to life than working to other people's agendas, top heavy with bureaucracy, where real people's needs seem to mean less by the day.

I wanted to do something that gave me as much as it gave the people I was working with. So I decided to combine my qualifications and experience into therapeutic workshops. In other words both 'walking the talk' and 'talking the walk'.

I am a firm believer in the therapeutic power of positive thought and actions and I put these into practice daily, often with amazing results. Though sometimes they just serve to keep me grounded - it’s not always lightening flashes and thunder rolls! As someone who has worked with children and young people I also believe life should be challenging and fun. I have combined these elements into a series of workshops that I think will inspire, challenge, uplift and enable participants to express themselves creatively and share personal wisdom.

Creative, Fun and Inspirational Life Coaching Workshops

When I'm not working I enjoy gardening - I'm currently starting work on the garden at my new house, turning it into a sacred and sensory space where I can both relax and gain inspiration; or just have fun with the grandchildren, or hold a BBQ. I also write poetry and short stories, being involved in a creative writing course. I hope to include some of what I have learned on this course in my workshops, so that you too can be inspired to express yourself creatively. Words are very therapeutic, as are gardens of course.

I have an ongoing interest in and concern for the environment having taught children informally, many years ago, getting them involved in recycling, conservation and just interacting with nature, long before it became NECESSARY to do these things to protect our planet. Children have an internal need and drive to interact in challenging ways with nature; it is their modus operandi, but is being severely diminished through perceived dangers, pollution, fears of litigation and the lure of game consoles and TV / videos. All humans have this drive - in children it comes out as play. Adults too need to play to counteract modern stresses. That is why my workshops are fun as well as therapeutic.
